Rubyworks – Things We Lost In The Fire Sale

Things We Lost In The Fire

Rubyworks is Ireland’s leading Independent record label and it was one of those hit hard by the fires during Monday night’s riots when the Sony DADC warehouse was set on fire. The label’s stock, as well as the stock of sister label Model Citizen, was lost in the arson attacks, totalling over 10,000 records.

“It’s a devastating blow” commented Label Manager Roger Quail “not just for us, but for the entire independent label community. PIAS have risen to the challenge, we are getting great support from them and our partners in manufacturing”.

A sudden surge in demand for new stock from labels affected by the fire is likely to mean it will be weeks before stock levels return to normal. As a stop gap measure, Rubyworks and Model Citizen are offering their entire back catalogue at the special “fire sale” price of £4.49 for a limited time only on iTunes UK, including albums from Rodrigo y Gabriela, Gavin Friday, Mary Coughlan, Wallis Bird, Sinead O’Connor and Fight Like Apes.

Albums Featured:

Rodrigo y Gabriela – ‘self-titled’, ’11:11′, ‘Live In France’, ‘Live In Japan’, ‘Re-foc’, ‘Live Manchester And Dublin’.

Mary Coughlan – ‘The House Of Ill Repute’

Wallis Bird – ‘New Boots’

Moving Hearts – ‘Live In Dublin’

And on Model Citizen:

Fight Like Apes – ‘The Body Of Christ And The Legs Of Tina Turner’ and ‘Fight Like Apes & The Mystery Of The Golden Medallion’
