Kalandra

Led by vocalist and songwriter Katrine Stenbekk, Kalandra infuse their music with otherworldly tales derived from Norse and Celtic folk songs.  Underpinned by sweeping melodies and unnerving yet beautiful arrangements, the result is utterly bewitching.  After receiving huge praise and widespread airplay for their single Not Some Fairytale released in January and accompanied by a video filmed in Norway that is as sinister as it is alluring and beautiful, the band return with a double A side and some highly anticipated live performances.

Reminiscent of Kate Bush and the impact she made on the mainstream four decades ago, Kalandra’s brand of Alternative Folk is attracting a huge following of devoted fans enchanted by the band’s ethereal musical wanderings.
