After making his fans wait a good five years between his 2nd and 3rd albums, Jamie T is back after just two, with brand new music and a brand new feel. The rumours of a new album from the thirty-year-old sent the likes of twitter and Facebook into madness and now after two single releases, the many
Jamie T fanatics will surely be salivating over the thought of the upcoming 4th album.

The second of these mouth-watering releases, Power Over Men is the perfect showcase for the new atmospheric album, which seems set to be his darkest yet. The track starts with his trademark sample-like inserts, recorded by Florence Bell then builds moodily to a powerful chorus featuring what sounds almost like a cry of a crow, helping create the darker connotations of his new work.

These elements of the song along with the downbeat tone of Jamie’s lyrics and one of the most visually uncompromising music videos of the decade create the basis for the definitive concept of the hugely anticipated, upcoming album, Trick to be released in September.
