Alarms is the latest offering from the much liked Swedish psychedelic collective GOAT. Blending tribal beats, spaghetti western themes with mantra-like harmonies and blissed out guitar licks that are satisfyingly familiar but at the same time completely different to lots of other music around at the moment. They seem to live in their own glorious little bubble with the end results proving to be both authentic and enticing. With two front female singers projecting an intriguing shaman-like presence on record, who’s to know what effect this leads to on stage? GOAT are setting those alarm bells ringing in splendid yet highly unorthodox fashion. Get lost in GOAT!
