So, here it is. I am writing a mini review about a band who have the nouns “porn” and “crumpet” in their band title. You can forgive those wandering eyes of yours, you are not reading a review on food porn but on a psych band from Australia. Their sound slots in nicely to the rich psych Australian machine and follows in the footsteps of other well-known contemporaries Tame Impala and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Their latest offering Social Candy is a glorious and vibrant mash up of King Gizzard theatrics, Queen-esque guitar noodling with a strong pinch of the band A, all condensed into a 4 minute whirlpool of joyful noise.
This is definitely a band who will want to keep spreading their message and love for colourful bombastic psychedelia.
Amongst the many brands of crumpet out there, this crumpet in particular, is definitely a stand out and will leave you salivating and wanting more! Their September tour across our island is selling out fast with dates in Manchester, London already sold out – and it’s not hard to see why when the crumpet is this good!
