Just Listen: Corella – Come Around

Corella – Come Around

Words: Amy Butcher

After seeing Corella support Larkin’s at Colours Hoxton , I’ve been hooked on their serene, jangly guitar sound. ‘Come Around’ is a refreshing track from start to finish, and is a somewhat familiar yet new sound from the 4 piece.

Opening with fast, repetitive drum beats and crooning guitar melodies merging with sudden heavier guitar and bass riffs, it’s as if Corella have taken everything great about 80’s dream pop and created their own modern take with a subtle indie flare. I’m definitely excited to see what’s to come for this Manchester-based band – every single is stronger musically and it’s fantastic to see the progression of such a talented set of lads. They are clearly one to watch in the future!
