Introducing – Discopolis

Discopolis

DiscopolisI think it’s been a while since a Scottish band has caught my attention, I know this because I often have many that I like. So I give a small cheer when I realise that Discopolis are Edinburgh based school friends Fergus Cook and Laurie Corlett-Donald (could you get any more Scottish than that?!) as well as new drummer Cat Myers.

More cheers are given for the work that has gone in to coming up with the wonderful track Falling (Committed To Sparkle Motion), another cheer for an awesome title. This has been produced by ex Swedish House Mafia member Axwell.

Discopolis have already toured with the likes of supported Friendly Fires, Wild Beasts, Metronomy, Simian Mobile Disco, Django Django and Matthew Dear. They are going to be one of the biggest sounds to listen out for this year and probably next having had huge support already from BBC Introducing.
