Having attended Liverpool’s Threshold Festival in 2014 it was immediately a priority on the Popped Music festival calendar for  2015. This year’s festival is set once again in Liverpool’s creative hub of the Baltic Triangle and will feature and celebrate the best of grass roots and beyond in areas such as music, art and also performance. There will be unusual venues as well as secret pop up happenings across the three day festival.

Because the festival is SO exciting for us this year we’re running a preview on each day so that we can give a little more focus on a few acts.

Tickets are on sale now £20 for a full weekend or £12 for a day ticket, clickity click here.

SUNDAY

Me and Deboe – Constellations

An unexpected find at last year’s Threshold festival was Me and Deboe who played a rousing set for the lunch time crowd in The Baltic Social for Liverpool Acoustic. This year they’re back with their strong harmonies and furious acoustic guitar playing. Can. Not. Wait.

The Roscoes – Constellations

These lovely guys came to play for us for our Popped Christmas Show and we’ve never looked back – their new single Closer is their best yet and usually the crazy set closer which is well worth sticking around for, but you’ll want to anyway.

Seattle Yacht Club – Constellations

If you love the likes of Everything Everything then you’ll love Seattle Yacht Club. They’ve been around a few years and have been honing their sound and musical craft to perfection. They’ve played festivals all over, including one of our faves, Kendal Calling, last year. Get your dancing shoes on.

Dominic Dunn and Detail  – Unit 51

There is no denying that Dominic Dunn is a born and bread Scouser. His heavy accent gives his vocal an added flavour and edge which you can’t mistake for anyone else around, even in Liverpool. His song writing ability is incredible for someone still so young and his new band Detail give his songs added depth. A great grass roots act for Threshold if ever there was one.
