The Watermelons

Brighton four piece The Watermelons are returning with their brand new single Best Of You, out on July 13th. The single also features on the band’s debut album, of the same name, which is released the following week on the 20th July. We’ve delighted to have been given the track’s Premiere on Popped Music.

Best Of You has summer fun written all over it. It’s uplifting and full of the best indie jingly jangly guitars that you can imagine and a smattering of luscious pop harmonies. There’s nothing too strenuous here, it’s light-hearted but still with lyrics that have meaning. It’s an up-tempo number too, one to keep you dancing around sipping on your G&T on a hot summer’s afternoon – they will be coming around soon, I’m sure!
