In the excitement leading up to the release of Matthew And The Atlas’ latest studio album, Temple, Matthew Hegarty and band set aside time to record a special version of album track Old Master for the Lightship Sessions.
Old Master is another perfect example of Matthew’s quality of song writing, his extraordinary flair for guitar playing and his super emotive vocal – which manages to dig deep into my consciousness. I can’t do anything else when I listen to this man’s voice – it gently whispers for my attention and when the harmonies creep up on in on the action, it’s like having a feather gently caress my neck. To put it bluntly, it’s spine-tingling good.
