Off The Record

Friday 4th November 2016, Manchester
off the record squareWe are thrilled to announce our involvement with a brand new concept festival for new music, happening in Manchester this November, Off The Record.

Put together by the people behind 3 of the UK’s most loved independent festivals, Kendal Calling, Sound City and Blue Dot, the new festival will be taking place in the popular Northern Quarter area of Manchester. This is where Off The Record Festival will take over Night and Day, The Castle, Gullivers, Soup Kitchen, Aatma, Ruby Lounge and Methodist Central Buildings, bringing you a selection of new music nominated by 30 cutting edge national curators.

We find ourselves alongside the likes of Guy Garvey, Lara Baker, Elizabeth Alker, Huw Stephens, John Kennedy and Tim Burgess (to name but a few!), to suggest 3 hotly tipped emerging artists. To help narrow down the, almost impossible, task of picking only 3, the festival organisers have defined “new” as an act having been together less than 24 months and not yet having released a debut album.

During the day there will be a music conference featuring those who are currently inspiring those starting out in the industry. The live music will follow, playing out across the 6 music venues, just a mere stumble from each other.
Apart from taking a new approach to putting together the line up, Off The Record have also taken the unprecedented step of not announcing the line up until 24 hours ahead of the event. So you’ll have to put your faith in the following list of people,  to bring you the best live bands you can find in the UK right now and grab your ticket as soon as they’re on sale.

Let’s get to it! See you at Off The Record in Manchester on November 4th!
