Just Watch: Declan McKenna – Humongous

Declan McKenna

Words: Charlotte Minett

Declan McKenna is back with another single Humongous before the release of his debut album What Do You Think About the Car, out 21st July. This track echoes Declan’s more laid-back, mellow sound. This can be compared to his older tracks, such as Paracetamol and Basic. However, the disjointed ending picks up and offers a more up-beat electronic feel. This gives us a glimpse of the variety of sounds which we can expect and look forward to in the highly anticipated album. “I’m big, humongous and small”. The contradicting lyrics are refreshingly mature, classic Declan style. Festivals you can catch him at include Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds. Declan McKenna is certainly one to watch and he’s going to be hard to miss judging by the amount of glitter that he brings to his gigs.
