If I close my eyes when listening Just Got Paid by Shiners I’m not entirely sure what year it is, let alone what decade. Take a massive leap back into the 90s with me folks – this has early Blur written all over it (personally, early Blur is my fave Blur) and this is lighting up bits of my brain as if there’s a fireworks display going on. Ok so there’s an added organ (shall we say something akin to Kula Shaker for that?… I think so, maybe a bit of Supergrass?). Upbeat, jaunty and far too easy to sing along and dance too…. needs to get played down the indie disco does this one!
