Barn On The Farm has become a must-attend for us here at Popped Music. I can safely say the year we don’t get to go will be the year I cry myself to sleep at night. They bring together so many of our favourite bands across several stages in one weekend and attract a special kind of customer. Everyone at Barn on The Farm is family. Every year you’ll find bands who played the year before who have moved on up the lineup – both Sam Fender and Lewis Capaldi played last year and both find themselves headlining this – it’s that kind of thing!
ONES TO WATCH
Easy Life
Seeing this band live has so far evaded me – even though I’m constantly singing “they don’t give a fuck about my nightmares” while sat at my desk in work – it’s a silent office, so it’s had some looks! This year at BOTF I’m determined to see them – I’ve no idea right now what time they’re on but I’d get up early to see them – and that’s saying something. Easy Life deliver tunes with swagger and I’m getting ready for it… don’t be a “wet weekend” come and watch em with us!

Fatherson
While Fatherson are far from a new band they have new music and are really at the forefront of something really special coming out of the music scene in Scotland again. I feel like they’re having somewhat of a re-birth almost. I for one have re-kindled my love fro them and having seen them play live again very recently, I realised that they really are one of the best live bands around and are an absolute joy to watch. If you’ve not had the pleasure yet… you can thank us later.

Only The Poets
Another band I’ve not (currently) seen play live yet and whose tunes have captured my attention enough to make me want to see what I’ve been missing out on is Only The Poets. Their latest single You Can Do Magic might be a little bit cheeky in terms of perhaps borrowing some lyrical content from elsewhere but musically it’s just catchy as fuckery and I’m all in it.

Cassia
Where to start with Cassia? If ever there was a band that was MADE for BoTF it’s Cassia – their distinctive summery vibes are everything that’s needed. If we have weather like we were afforded last year, then there’s not enough shade nor enough fans in the world that will keep you cool when you watch these. Their debut abum Replica landed a few weeks back and is crammed with bops! PS. be sure to bring your dancing feet.
