Just Watch: Revolvers – Rubbing Shoulders With The Devil
Revolvers – Rubbing Shoulders With The Devil
Words: Clare Hingley
Having never listened to Revolvers before, I was wondering what I would be hearing. But from the off, I was pleasantly surprised with their latest single Rubbing Shoulders With The Devil.
The video fits perfectly with the song and the vibe it brings with it. The lyrics are telling you a story and the video itself screams this by generating the feeling as if you had the volume on mute, just by watching the video it would tell you the story Thurling is passionately singing about.
The London based quartet indie-rock band have created a Muse feel to this song with the heavy guitar riffs of Oliver, especially the guitar solo a minute or so towards the end. It really has a fetching chorus with Thurling vocally by the rest of the band. A buzzing bass line made by Morrison is greeted by the cymbal clashing of Kibble.
This song is good, very good and is definitely a band to look out for this year.
