Festival Preview: Fusion Festival 2019
Fusion Festival 2019
Sefton Park, Liverpool, August 30th 2019
Words: Elena Katrina
When a festival brings you an exclusive visit to your City and that exclusive is from Kings of Leon – you shut the fuck up and get a ticket. Yes, you do. This is what has happened with Fusion Festival’s Friday offering. While the weekend offers up something a tad more mainstream pop-world, Friday is bringing the guitars. Joined by the likes of Sam Fender (do we like him … d’ya think?), Franz Ferdinand, Echo and The Bunnymen, Circa Waves and Jake Bug we are in no doubt what-so-ever that you’re going to have no voice the next day after such a mammoth sing-along.
Kings of Leon
Like most of these bands, Kings of Leon really need no introduction, so I’m not going to even botherer. Just get this stuck on and imagine how great it’s gonna be.
Listen to Kings of Leon here:
Franz Ferdinand
One of Scotland’s finest exports across Europe and probably the Universe – Franz are gonna make you wanna…. really really wanna… sing, dance, prance…

Echo & The Bunnymen
Let’s face it a festival in Liverpool wouldn’t be a festival in Liverpool without one of the biggest bands from the city being given a slot…. bring on those dancing horses!
Listen to Echo & The Bunnymen here:
Jake Bugg
The most recent addition to the line up is Jake Bugg and he just so happens to be one of the country’s most loved indie singer-songwriter. Having worked on his recordings her in Liverpool too we’re sure he’ll be feeling at home.

Circa Waves
If you ask us Circa Waves should be higher up on the bill than the poster suggests but if you want to get a party started then we can’t think of a better choice than our fave hometown heroes. Fingers crossed they’ll be bringing the T-Shirt weather for the day!
Listen to Cira Waves here:
Sam Fender
What a way to bookend a festival – two of our favourite artists, one been around forever and a day and the other just starting out on their journey toward world domination. Get there early our Sam is not to be missed!
