Just Listen: The Ninth Wave – Human Behaviour

The Ninth Wave – Human Behaviour

Words: Elena Katrina

the niThe Ninth Wave have found something a little warmer in the latest track Human Behaviour. Don’t get me wrong there’s still the dramatic despair emanating from the vocal of lead singer Haydn. The band have kept their gothic vibe soundscape with swirls of guitar that caress. When Millie’s vocal creeps in with warm brass behind it all the track instantly becomes one of their richest in terms of sound and in terms of texture. The dark and dramatic sound of The Ninth Wave is still very much present but this is not just an angry look at me kind of track, it’s so more grown-up. It’s just stunning. This demonstrates a band who is on a journey and I’m so excited to hear where it’s all going.
