With a call to arms and military style percussion against R&B style vocals X&Y begin their new track Rocket Science with a little of something that aims to catch the ear and genuinely succeeds. Things take a turn for the rockier sound come the chorus, making a serious dent in the box that people will try to put them in. The piano is an unexpected and most welcomed element in this track and gives a tiny bit of sentiment and warmth to the proceedings which nicely matches the lyrical content.
