Liverpool sure is shining bright right now. It’s brimming with talent and Cavalry are one of the bands who are quite simply grabbing us by the heart strings. Their new single Soak is yet another example of the brooding layers of sound they use to wrap around you as you listen. It’s the big sweeping guitars with an abundance of space that gives the vocal room to close in on you in their atmospheric, and in this case, cinematic scene. This is a band who were looking for a miserable Summer so they could get the ammunition they needed for new material – sounds like they had the worst Summer ever because this is sublime.
