Cape Cub returns in 2016 with his distinctive soulful vocal in latest single Closer. It’s the heartfelt delivery of the vocal along with the wording which makes this feel gut wrenchingly honest. The soft sensibility of the music at the start adds to the atmosphere when the bass drum kicks in it’s a steady and metaphorical kick in the teeth – just like the feeling he’s describing. A beautiful, yet heartbreaking song about unrequited love.
