Just Listen: Joy Atlas – Drop Your Sword

Joy Atlas

Joy AtlasJoy Atlas seem to be one of those bands who I can never remember who it is when I hear them, and that’s totally my fault and it’s really annoying.  It’s annoying because I really love them and because every single time their melodies and lyrics become gigantic ear worms and I found myself singing them for days after hearing them. Their latest track Drop Your Sword is absolutely no exception – stunning harmonies build when you least expect them and the lyrics are bold and open and that’s something you can’t ignore. The sleep electronic-pop is equally as interesting and I hope Joy Atlas will finally etch their name into my memory – and that of many other people.

28th May, Newcastle, Evolution Emerging
