Coming from independent label Hand in Hive is Liverpool-based band Zuzu. Their brand new single comes in the form of Get Off, an indie-rock track with grungy guitars and powerful, beaming vocals, a nod towards grunge-rock singer Courtney Barnett. Female-fronted and punk-infused bands are always a crowd pleaser and this song takes on just that, with pounding, foot-tapping drum beats, laced with understated yet angry guitars. It could easily have been taken from a 90’s chick-flick soundtrack with it’s all round fun, flirty and feisty attitude.
