Just Listen: Jamie T – Drone Strike

Jamie T

Words: James Booton

Wow! Jamie T is well and certainty back, and he’s better than ever. The new release Drone Strike will be a welcome treat for fans who are still in love with the old Jamie. Although it is clear to see Jamie T has matured not only as an artist but as a person since his debut album, the teenage angst is still very much alive inside him.

The London man could be set for a whole new set of fans as the verses in this new track sound dangerously close to grime, with the genre gaining an extreme resurgence in the UK over the past few years. The whole song is full of aggression and darker tones, something the new album Trick looks set to be packed with. Overall this 3rd single release is a hard hitting blend of indie-rock and rap, its vintage Jamie T and its brilliant!
