Just Watch: Norma Jean Martine – I Want You To Want Me

Norma Jean Martine

Words: Gary Hughes

norma jean martineNorma Jean Martine has an interesting journey to date. At least one incredible writing partner (Burt Bacharach) , varied writing credits (one of the Pussycat Dolls and an Italian X Factor winner) and support slots (ODell and Coombes)….

Echoes of Lana Del Rey’s vocals in previous song Animals; the singer who Norma Jean Martine most sounds like in this third release is Adele. It’s not just that she sounds like her, but that I Want You To Want Me is also similar in style too, sounding like it could have been an offcut from a Tedder/Adele writing session. As in; it’s pretty good. It builds nicely, tells a story of unrequited love and is delivered in a confident manner. It’s also off of a film coming out as well – Kids In Love – so her interesting journey continues.
