Just Listen: Joy Room – Late At Night

Joy Room

Words: Gary Hughes

joy room late at night It’s traditional to call a band’s first release a ‘debut offering’ I suppose. So this is the first single from a band from the smoke called Joy Room.

Joy Room (as well as not being as problematic to google as you would think) are four lads from London and this song, Late at Night, is a rattle through the edgier end of rock and roll. Sort of Hivesy, Strokesy; roughly in that area. There is a raw energy to the song; it’s all coiled and cocky. I want to say it’s a swaggering, sneering, raucous slice of rock music. So I just did.

This is a very good start, I really enjoyed it. More please.
