Admittedly before I paid any attention to the title of the song and just listened to it over and over again, I thought the lyrics were “you stole the ivy, I get my poision for free” – which I thought was really clever. Turns out I was quite a way off the mark, but that it’s still quite smart, but I still like my version better.
White Room manage to squeeze every drop of late 80s/early 90s guitar band sound into their latest single Stole The I.V – but they’ve only done the best bits of course. It’s whirling, hedonistic and wraps itself around you in a fashion that makes you just want to spin around and around… and around.
