False Advertising
Words: Gary Lambert
With every release False Advertising become a stronger and more exciting band. And considering how exciting they were twelve months ago, it’s a hell of prospect. Take forthcoming release Not My Fault, the usual False Advertising motifs are there in the heavy rock structure teased into a pop tunnel by the classic female rock vocal of Jen Hingley. But this is a sound of a band maturing. Listen to that bass line. The undulations in themselves could tell a story. It pulls you on to the tracks and doesn’t let go until the journey’s end. With festival season and SXSW on the horizon, listen to this track over and over as I have a strong feeling that you are going to want to singalong in the sunshine.
We’re also delighted to say that False Advertising will be headlining the Popped Music Stage at Threshold Festival on 31st March!
