Barn On The Farm started the same year Popped Music was born and last year was the first year we actually got to go. Shocking news I know but what an experience we had. In fact we had such a great time that we practically begged to come back again this year as well as having named Barn On The Farm our favourite festival of 2017. It’s a special place full of friendly people
Our Barn On The Farm playlist below reveals no clear path for our picks, no clear path for who we will see and so I invite you to listen to the playlist and take our few picks below as just an additional tit-bit and a clue as to where you might find us over the weekend.
ONES TO WATCH
Keir
I’ve not had the pleasure of watching Keir live yet but having only recently discovered him and found myself compelled to listen to more and more, and over and over, I was all over the fact that he was playing Barn On The Farm. I feel him to be an absolute must see, at least for me. Here’s crossing everything that we make that magic happen in a few weeks time.

Marsicans
Any band that greet me with a hug are always a band that are going to stay in my mind, but it isn’t that welcoming hug that is the reason that Marsicans make this list – it was their performance for us on our stage at Threshold Festival back in March. Having seen shed loads of bands since their performance is still one that I look back on the most and with the biggest smile. Everything about them is infectious so come and get the Marsicans bug!

Ten Tonnes
The first time I saw Ten Tonnes play was in Manchester where he supported Palace – an exciting prospect for a gig I think you must agree. Well, I hope you’ll agree. Having followed Ethan’s progress since and seen him play again since too, he was an absolute must for us to showcase here. Make sure you mark him down as one of your ones to watch too!

Bad Sounds
I’ve been somewhat quietly obsessed with Bad Sounds since their debut single landed with me last year. I feel ashamed that as a new music blog I’ve not shouted about them more so it was a no-brainer to shout about them now. They’ve made our monthly playlist though – we’ve not been totally mean! Absolutely thrilled that they’ll be playing Barn On The Farm!
