Video Premiere: Ovvls – Mind Leeches

Ovvls

Words: Elena Katrina

I’ll be honest – I’m really not that into watching band’s videos – sometimes they can absolutely put me off a band or a track so I don’t tend to watch them unless I already know I like the song.

This has worked well this time around  for Ovvls and me – thankfully – though I’m now nervous that I am potentially missing out on other brilliance. This video is one of the best things I’ve seen all year and perfectly matches the band’s vibe and the execution of the direction and editing along with the track, Mind Leeches, is spot on. Directed, filmed and animated by Chris Daw and the amazingly creepy doll was created by Tristan Brady-Jacobs – what a combo.

The video comes along with the announcement that the band are headed to play Oxjam festival where they’ll play a live show for Oxjam Manchester on Friday 30th September.
