Just Listen: Safari Gold – Easy Company

Safari Gold

Words: Luke Pettican

Cardiff based quartet Safari Gold have been friends since childhood and their obvious connection shines through in their music. After gaining praise for their track Howl all the way back in 2015, the band is finally getting around to releasing an album, with their self-titled album due this Friday.

Stand-out track Easy Company evolves from its’ almost subdue beginning as weighty guitar-licks coupled and a vivacious drum beat take hold. Safari Gold’s unique sound provides a revitalizing break from other indie pop that’s often obsessed with nights out and teenage like longing. This easy-going indie pop track leaves you longing for long careless summer road trips.

To celebrate their debut album the band are playing Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff this Friday. Tickets are available here – https://t.co/bBssMQGhcj
