Just Listen: Spinn – After Dark

Words: Luke Pettican

SPINN’s 2017 breezy-pop infused releases saw them garner critical acclaim from the likes of DORK and Tennement TV. 2018 looks like it’s going to be another stellar year for the Liverpool quartet, if their latest release is anything to go by.

Their new single After Dark is more sombre song than their previous efforts, demonstrating the band’s diversity. Throughout the track, shimmering guitars effortlessly intertwine with each other driven by a dazzling dark drum beat. While lead singer Jonny’s hypnotic vocals demand your attention without detracting from the song’s intriguing instrumentation.

This track offers a further glimpse to their ever-growing fanbase of what to expect from their debut EP titled ‘Forthcoming’, which is due for release in March.
