Picture the scene. The sun is shining, you are driving on a open road with the stereo blasting feelgood tunes, and you have a smile on your face. This is where the new single Back of Your Car from Bristol four piece Swimming Girls will transport you. The band apparently wrote the track during a heatwave, so the imagery is working! It’s a fine slice of indie pop that has been likened to a cross between The 1975, Haim and The Cure. Not a bad crowd to be in. They’ve already been picked up for airplay on Radio One and they didn’t sound out of place on there when I heard their previous single Tastes Like Money on there while getting my haircut the other day! Now, where are my shades?
