Just Listen: Yonaka – F.W.T.B.

F.W.T.B.

Words: Lauren Grigor

Oh. here. we. go. Yonaka is no longer a band in their infancy; yelling from the sidelines while the adults are doing all the talking – they are here to stand up for themselves and get what they want.
As a ‘call to arms’, FWTB is a song that will make out with you, then kick you in the teeth before you’ve had a chance to wipe the lipstick off your face. With sampling and rapping reminiscent of M.I.A and Rage against the machine- this new track screams resistance – and at less than 3 minutes long has just enough of Theresa’s ‘stank face’ vocal melodies whilst still hearing the other band members’ talents throughout. The track is produced seamlessly with heavier bass than we’re used to and a glorious crescendo that will have even the most well behaved quitting their jobs tomorrow. Prepare for the rebellion
