When a new band come along they always get compared to another band that are already well known, as a reference point for music fans who might be interested. I know this because I do it! Kid Cupid are being likened to Sohn, Oh Wonder & London Grammar, and certainly the latter are a good starting point. I’m a fan of the new single Better. It’s a more straightforward pop song than previous single Easy, which was more of a slow burn of a track. The whole band are sounding on top of their game here but singer Laura Shaw for me is the stand out and is in fine voice. Oh, and the production is amazing, so crystal clear. The band are releasing their debut EP this month, Unholy Ceremony.
