Hooking you in instantly with an intriguing, suspenseful introduction, ‘Shallow’ proves to be one of the finest tracks that Liverpool four-piece SPINN has released thus far. This is an impressive achievement given the addictive, emotional energy of their breakout track ‘Notice Me’ and exuberant intensity of their track ‘Who You Are’.
The track follows in the footsteps of their previous breezier, pop-infused offerings while intelligently injecting some of the meaningful lyricism found on some of their tracks, like their more expansive, mellow offering ‘November’. This alluring lyricism is prepossessing, with certain lines wrapping themselves around your brain with their carefree, radiant spirit.
Shallow will definitely be getting an outing on SPINN’s debut headline tour which sees them play some impressive venues such as London’s Thousand Island and Liverpool’s 02 Academy.
