I have no idea what I just watched, but I know I instantly love it! The video for Fil Bo Riva’s latest offering, Go Rilla, for his eagerly awaited debut album is as bonkers as it is brilliant.
Drawing its influences heavily from his love of movies from the 60s, the video is humourous, stylish and, at times, unnerving. However, it is always engaging and continually touches base perfectly with the infectious indie pop musings it accompanies.
This is the first of an overarching story that will run through Fil Bo Riva’s next few releases and my ears and eyes are keen to see where this goes from here.
“Go go gorilla take me where you go oh” indeed.
