Just Watch: The Murder Capital – Green & Blue

The Murder Capital – Green & Blue

Words: Georgia-Mae Blackman

The Murder Capital hail from Ireland’s capital, and whilst they aren’t from South London, they do spark the post-punk south of the river energy that radiates from them. They emit a euphoric, captivating personality that is growing on me as they continue to release haunting, noisy, atmospheric music that is pleasing to the ears.

Green & Blue is lyrically honest whilst also steering to be an ambitious chapter for the Dublin five. It’s thrilling as the repetitive, throbbing drum beats pulse through my veins.

And, whilst I sit back and watch the newly released video for Green & Blue – their visuals show a narrative, edited in a way that matches their post-modern, vintage style. They’ve truly made a mesmerising piece of art.

Are they Ireland’s next big band? We will only find out once they pull some more music out of their sleeves.
