JUST WATCH: LAURAN HIBBERD – HOOCHIE

Lauran Hibberd – Hoochie

Words: Meg Young

Set to hit the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury later this summer, rising sensation Lauran Hibberd has unveiled her new music video for her latest captivating release, Hoochie.

Curious, I Googled what the term meant and I soon learnt that a ‘hoochie’ is a slang term for a young female who acts in a provocative manner and has many casual sexual partners, a word commonly used in the 90s. After watching the video, this quickly all made sense.

Taking inspiration from the not so PG TV hotline channels, the video is rather comical and can be interactive for the viewer if they decide to call or text the number on the screen. I won’t ruin it for anyone but if you call, you won’t be disappointed; don’t worry, it’s nothing you wouldn’t want a minor to see.

You can catch also Lauran Hibberd on her headline tour later this month:

May 21st – Joiners, Southampton
May 22nd – Jimmy’s Manchester
May 23rd – The Lexington, London
