In the world when everybody is searching for big, life-changing moments of drama, it is important to grasp on to slices of innocent pleasure. Maybe Yesterday from St Peter’s Dream feels like one of those slices to me.
With a gently paced, upbeat feel to the track Maybe Yesterday reminds me of Stanleys or maybe even somebody older like The Bluetones. This is the sound of a band who are enjoying themselves in the studio as much as their first practice sessions in someone’s garage. It is the sort of song ideal for the Spotify generation as you are always going to be pleased when it comes on your playlist.
I have a feeling that I’m going to be hearing this track a lot over the summer. Definitely so when I’m in charge of the tunes.
