Life Aquatic Band – Brunch Mindset

I wonder if I could write a review how Life Aquatic Band have written “Brunch Mindset” – at least how I like to enjoy thinking they wrote it. In separate rooms with no idea of what anyone else writing it was thinking genre wise and yet what came out is absolute MAGIC.

There is a chaos about it but also it’s total nonsense of a song and I recently came across a post that seemed to suggest that anything that wasn’t meaningful lyrically was rubbish and I wholeheartedly disagree. What is wrong with music that is bonkers and fun that makes you think about booking brunch at 2pm, while twirling around your bedroom wishing you were in a shiny leotard and covered in glitter? A track that mixes genres and is just off its own face.

Give it to me … oh wait… “Life Aquatic Band” are giving me just that and I’m 100% here for it. I’ve got that “Brunch Mindset“. Also anyone else getting Electric Six X B52s vibes?
