Introducing: The Bulletproof Bomb

The Bulletproof Bomb

The Bulletproof BombSo if you’ve been missing Jamie T and the general sounds of a bit of raucousness then you’ll be glad to find that there’s a new band stepping into those shoes. They might be big to fill but The Bulletproof Bomb do a more than decent job. Live they really are an explosion of noise and very entertaining.

At the young age of 18, this five-piece band from South London is as fresh on the scene as the hair in their sweaty armpits. Suitcase and Spaceman are the first two songs to be written and recorded by The Bulletproof Bomb and it’s also the band’s debut offering.  It was recorded, produced and mixed by the legendary Rory Attwell, the man behind The Vaccines, Yuck and The Palma Violets to name a few. 3 days locked away on his boat “The Light Ship 95”, now that’s enough to put the hairs on any teenage chest.

Early support from Rough Trade recognises the band’s baby steps in to the big bad world, as does their busy gig schedule. Dubstep can move aside, there’s a new sound coming from the murky South London borders.

The AA side single Suitcase/Spaceman  is out on March the 10th as a limited 7″ (here) and also on itunes. You can catch The Bulletproof Bomb play live on the 14th March at the Water Rats, London
