Track Exclusive: LUST – Looking Glass

Hatcham Social’s Finn and Toby Kidd run the impeccably cool Crocodile Records. They’ve just introduced me to their new singing, LUST, and offered Popped the opportunity to showcase their first track, Looking Glass, as an exclusive.
LUST offer up a wonderful hazy shoegaze pop sound that is becoming more and more prevalent again, though for some it never really left. The band comprise of three Swedish girls; Anna Haara Kristoferson on vocals and synths, Moa Papillon on vocals and guitars, Andrea Muller on vocals and bass, with English born Alex Burke on guitar, and Roberto Conigliaro from Italy on drums. Their debut single, Looking Glass, will be released on July 10th.
Their next show sees them playing live at their label’s own Crocodile Club for their Pre-Single Launch this Thursday 19th June (at Power Lunches Arts Cafe in Hackney). It’s going to be an all dancing affair with LUST on stage at 10pm, Guest DJs will be other Crocodile Records signing, Big Sister, and The Gift, with regulars Hatcham Social and Richard Davis (River’s Edge) playing records from 8pm.
There will also be limited hand painted CDs available at the show in advance of the release on the 10th July.
