Sometimes songs feel like they hit you like a sledgehammer, or slowely creep upon you, others, such as Emily by San Fermin, very much feel like they caress you like a woollen blanket. The warmth here comes from the textures and tones, not only from the vocals, but from the brass which is so beautifully woven into the structure. The warmth is sadly at odds with the desperate loneliness of the tale spun but not uncomfortably so.
