full of keysSome people are just inherently good at what they do, as though they were born to do nothing else. I feel like Sweden’s Anni Bernhard, AKA Full Of Keys, was born to do this and a life time of hard work and passion seeps through my headphones when I listen to her. This track, Strike The Lightening, is termed as “Pop”, and I suppose it is, but that somehow seems as though it belittles the artistry and song-writing that has gone into this because pop so often feels so throw away or just for fun. There’s wonderful piano and gorgeous vinyl crackle at the end, powerful and emotive vocals and a pulsating backing track and I can’t help but feel empowered when I listen.
