Glorious sounds from North East band Joy Atlas. Their debut single Dismount has that occasional hint of accent and is lovely. This coupled with poppy synths have a tiny little sound byte feel of Maximo Park, partly down to the phrasing. The bass gets a lovely big fat whack of the space in the track and guides us down the path into a conversation that’s been going on a little while without us. I’m totally lost in this, it’s got so many moments of interest and is pretty delicious.
