Just Listen: Jingo – Ghost In The Machine

Jingo

Listen to Ghost In The Machine here:

jingoThe beauty of this song is in the deconstruction of its title; ‘The Ghost’ being represented by the vocals, and ‘The Machine’ portrayed by the music. I can’t remember the last time I heard a piece of music that opened with an Acappella voice of such ethereal quality, before building slowly into an energetic, post-rock masterpiece. It is hard to categorise. Gospel, post-rock, alternative-rock, and Indie all spring to mind but fused together in such a unique way. This is a tune that feels more uplifting with every listen. A real cathartic track. I had no idea what to expect when this band approached me with their music, but I am ecstatic that they did and very intrigued to see what they do next. Watch this space.
