Just Listen: Cape Cub – Keep Me In Mind

Cape Cub

Listen to Keep Me In Mind here:

cape cubOn my initial, and subsequent listens, I very much felt like the beginning of Cape Cub’s new track Keep Me In Mind was  reminiscent of Foals, and to be more specific, Spanish Sahara. Please note I said reminiscent. I am not saying it sounds the same just that there’s a “feel” and it’s with the softness of the vocal and in some parts the lyrical and musical phrasing. Also, it’s not the whole song. To add to that, it also reminds me of Bastille at times. Nothing overly specific here but just a “feeling”. These are both acts that I have followed since day dot, and both bands that I have very much enjoyed so it would go without saying that Cape Cub has hit the nail on the head with this sound, at least for me.
