Just Listen: The Vryll Society – La Jetee

The Vryll Society

Words: Georgia Evans

vryll la jeteeThe five piece psychedelic rock band from Liverpool, recently hit back with their latest single La Jetee. Released too just in time for their tour around the UK that ended this week. With their previous singles such as Air and Beautiful Faces, The Vryll Society have taken their own turn in taking a new approach with La Jetee. With a calming introduction to the song using beautiful guitar riffs gives me an ultimate feel for Summer. I find the song aurally fascinating. I feel like they have started to bring some more diversity to their music, as they first started off with noisy guitars and drumming beats.

La Jetee, is a French picture story which was all shot in black and white which is referred to in the song. The Vryll Society tell a story within their music, which I love.
