One of my absolute faves, Jack Garratt, can he do no wrong? Following his massive debut album Phase earlier this year, numerous UK/EU tours and playing the biggest festivals this summer, BYSKB v2v2 (demo) is the Jack Garratt I signed up for; fantastic flawless production, a modern electronic sampling style that feels graceful in some parts and scattered in others. And it all comes together for yet another huge cohesive track showcasing his love of multiple elements, genres and unbelievable singing ability. Drop offs, synth, falsetto and crescendos – All of the yes; as I keep telling everyone, Jack Garratt is a musical powerhouse, not just another trendy musician with a beard. And apparently this track is only in its infancy, I can’t wait to see how it grows up.
