After the short, stark hint at a return with Haze, back in April, Amber Run return once more with new track Stranger. There’s still an eerie starkness to it, a gritty melancholy but more musicality. Joe’s haunting, wailing notes are beautifully tinged with pain and the bass lines offer a dirty, gritty danger. This is a band who have moved on from perfectly crafted indie pop, to take time to discover their darker more mysterious side, and who knew it would work so well?
Stranger is taken from the forthcoming album, For A Moment, I Was Lost, out in February 2017, available to pre-order now.
